Our story
Why we started.
Strong Axis Engineering was founded to give owners, contractors, and fabricators direct access to a licensed engineer who understands how structures are designed, detailed, fabricated, and built.
The name comes from the strong axis of a steel beam: the direction in which a member is stiffest and carries load most efficiently. We aim to bring the same quality to every project, whether it is a residential wall removal, a balcony repair, or a steel platform supporting industrial equipment.

Thorough. Every design is backed by calculations with clearly stated assumptions.
Code-compliant. We design to the Florida Building Code, the International Building Code, ASCE 7, and the applicable material standards (AISC, ACI, the Aluminum Design Manual, and NDS).
Collaborative. We coordinate with your architect, contractor, and fabricator so the drawings work in the field.
Responsive. We answer questions quickly and keep you informed on schedule.
